I start with a new character, and I stuck with one of the main quest 'Bleak Falls Barrow' where the Draugr boss dose not have the Dragonstone. I like to get this part of the main quest done so I can continue what ever I like. I done a hard save before I went into the ruin.

What should I do?

If the draugr overlord in front of the dragonwall does not have the stone, then the only thing to do is reload the save before you entered the Barrow... and hope for the best.
One known solution is delivering the Golden Claw to Lucen in Riverwood, then go back to the draugr guardian and see if you can loot it then.

So I have to do the whole ruin again? Or after I opened the door, deliver the Golden crawl key to Lucen in Riverwood then kill the boss or kill the boss, then deliver the golden crawl back to Lucen then loot the boss.

I going to bump this up because I notice something.

During this game play I had the compass disabled by editing ini file, so I enabled it with the floating quest markers. The dragon stone its in the boss or suppose to be, but when I went into the area where the wall is by following the http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r11/Gerza71/TESV2012-01-1410-26-29-23.jpg. I touch the wall and everything went trippy. Where is it? Did he eat it?

Don't worry about it. I forced the issue by kicking Skyrim whare the sun don't shine and (with little bit of finding) through console 'player.getitem df202 1' which it gave me the Dragonstone. The the quest giver did not recognise the item and (with a bit of looking) through console again 'setstage mq103 190' and the game is running fine now.

Are you playing on PC? you could use setstage commands to advance the quest, or completequest if you need.

It's ridiculous game breaking bugs like this even exist. Luckily, you had the power of the console.

To add, I dropped that 25kg of rock on the desk in front of the quest giver.

@ lendial. Such a great game it make me cry (I have not have any hair left to pull out) to see bugs like these. The funny thing is this is my second play through and I did not have this problem in my first play through.
Must be one of the so called patches that broke it.

As for the hint I noted earlier, it was not the cause of it. I deactivated the mods through Wyre Bash to see if its the cause of it which it did not and I don't think texture mods and SkyUI is the cause of it.

That 'should help. However I do not know if you might experiance and gltiches due to it. Im not saying there wil be but there 'could' be. For instance ( MINOR SPOILER) I experianced pretty much everysingle gltich possible with the Blood On The Ice quest, preventing me from finishing it and purchasing Hjerim. I completed the quest using the above command and was able to buy the house, but the house then became ruined...

Maybe its just on pc? I play on the 360 and done that quest at least ten times, and I have never encounter it before

Xbox player here, not had any "game breakers" yet. Guessing they purposely make the pc versions bad so players have to mod them? Lol no idea here just speculation.

I had no problems with that quest. I have the axe and I miss Lydia because I had blinkers on and want to go to Whitehold. Till I realised that I forget Lydia I past the point of no return. I only use console commands to bypass a bug.

[b[YES I DONE IT!!!![/b] I found the problem.

After I removed the game and installing it with the patches, and put all the mods back in I had the same problem when I start the game.
After the dragon attacked I went with the Imperial soldier. He done nothing, stayed in a room and I done all the work. Went through the dungeon all by myself without any fights, the bear was there, and got out and there he is right beside me. The same problem.

After I had breakie, I start again with the mods off said for SKyUI which it wasn't the problem. After the dragon attacked, went with the Imperial Soldier. He is doing stuff, pulling chains, fighting and he was with me all the time and we went out of the dungeon like a team. Its a mod.

It wasn't the game it was a mod. No NPC Greeting. Somehow it interfering with quest like this. I think it happened to another quest to. I have to find out later.

Is it possible that it's there but floating near the ceiling? Look around with a good light magelight maybe?
