The best light armor in Skyrim....

I just wanted to know, is there any glass armor or some really good light armor laying around in some cave or castle?

I got the Thieves Guild Armor early in the game and it's done very well for me so far. It isn't leveled so you can get it at a very low level and wear it for a while.

Yes, if you're of the appropriate level to find it. But you have to go look, its random loot.

I think the guild armors are the nicest looking, though I dl'ed mods so that I could craft and enchant my own.

Really, though, if you take smithing and/or enchanting perks, you can get a high armor rating on any armor so if you like the look of fur or hide or whatever, they are useable throughout the game. The improved versions will also have a slightly different look. I personally think the improved fur armor looks good. This flexibility is one of the things I really like about the crafting system.

Yup. Gottal love TG Guildmasters craftable, unenchanted.... I'm not wanting to argue over it with whoever it was again, but at least it's not "flashy" like glass or elven, and it has PANTS not skirts....

Nightingale Armor is the best light armor in my opinion, but it's leveled. It has its best effects lvl 46+.

Not so much on a fem toon imo. I've honestly considered just using the "fancied up" miner's clothing mod, and enchanting them. It's just a light color shirt and dark pants....

Most armor in any game makes me wince. I thought WoW was bad (and it was, until you hit 80-ish). But most of what's in this game is just ludicrous.

Dark Souls armor

I think Ebony was improved massively compared to Oblivion's "Purple Samurai" armor.

True. I'm not a heavy armor user though. I need to go back to see what I used in Oblivion - I'm sure it was a mod, with new meshes (and hopefully that modder will be doing Skyrim armor once the CK is out).

The best light armor is the Dragon Scale set. But chances are you wont ever find a complete set. It may not be the best looking but it does offer the highest armor rating in the light class. I think just my cuirass has an armor rating over 450.

Well, yes - it's darn good stats, and you can craft it yourself eventually. It's not my thing, though, personally.

I like glass weapons (chillrend any one? ), but the armor's a little shiny for me. It's still leagues above the absolute crap glass armor of oblivion. I refuse to wear elven armor. Goes against my rp cause of the thalmor, plus, like glass, makes no sence for sneaking. Scaled would be cool, but I dont care for the dress like thing. That would get very cold. Dragonscale, little chance of ever finding it in loot, and Im not guna waste good perk points on it.

For me, I like the TG regular and guildmaster armor, the nightinggale armor, and the Pentius Octulotus(sp?) armor(emporors guard armor). I like the PO armor cause of my empire RP, but mainly I stick to the armors I get in the TG.

Shrouded armor svcks in this game. Id probly wear it if it stll looked like it did in oblvion.

Correction: It looks awesome on women. The collar is just... not working for me, as a male character.

Wait, you think it looks bad on women? It seems made for them to me.

I was looking forward to wearing that set. tbh, I think it looks rather rubbery.
