"INFILTRATION" Quest Bug

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 5:17 pm

I've starter Skyrim three times over because I wanted to have everything nice and neat. Unfortunately the last few times on quests such as "Blood On The Ice" due to glitches/bugs in the pause section it never shown my activities completed and it really irritated me. Now on my third character the same scenario has happened. I do exactly as the objective menu mentions but none of them show done. Why?

Bethesda Admins - Help. Perhaps if there are ways to access my XBOX 360's (Cloud) and sort it out I would kindly appreciate it. Please?

What exactly do you do with the Infiltration quest? There's two steps involved; open the gate (Don't even need to clear any baddies) and then to finish the quest you have to talk to the raid party coming through the gates. Did you do the second step?

I've tried both chap. First was the back door and talked to the chap who wanted me to help him and after realising that the quest was completed but none of the objectives had been marked I went and redone the quest by opening the gate. In fact you can do them both, use the back door and pull the lever and then speak to the chap but the only outcome is quest completed, objectives within the quest remain incomplete. I have "OCD" and it has to be perfect. Do you think Bethesda can fix my game?

Highly doubt you'll get any personal help from Bethesda. PC gamers have it easier but on Xbox you have two options to soothe your OCD:

1. Ignore it with the knowledge it will probably get fixed with a patch in the future.
2. Roleplay that the quest isn't completed because you were owning those baddies so hard you're still busy kicking their asses.

You really think that this issue can be fixed through a future patch?

Not in a long time. Just restart again like I do............. stuuupid Saphire wouldn't let me talk to her. I was level 62 on that one. 12th character.

A new game is more fun than an old one I say.

historically patches to not fix already broken quests but will prevent the problem on a future playthrough. mainly that's because some of the quest scripts have already fired and it would be impossible to 'sort them out' properly. but, on the next playthrough they can patch it so it doesn't get broken.

You don't understand how boring it is for a 22 year old such as myself to play the same levels over and over again. This is my third play through and to level up again and spend all them hours on doing the same quests is just sad.

My "OCD" is the issue otherwise I wouldn't have posted this thread.

The Companions quests have a little issue. So I've gone as far as werewolf. I've gotten the achievement for becoming head in a previous play that got broken so I won't go further in that one. Farkas can KMA. They get completed LAST. I just wish we could name our save games on the 360.

I've seen in other games where the scripts get fixed so I don't know if that can happen here. It would be nice to have a "console" command for the console games to change tags if needed.

I had a game file where Farkas was bugged pretty insane. He'd constantly draw his weapon, run up to me, sheath his weapon, then initiate the same conversation and yell out the same stuff, like every two seconds. That was... annoying.
And why's Aela carrying two sets of heavy armor when she's better in light? I have no idea.

Imagine dealing with that throughout Ysgramor's Tomb.

Blood on The Ice has tons of bugs and issues, lots of people can't start or complete it. I have another character that was unable to initiate it; the little funeral never started.
Great way to block a homeowner for Windhelm.
