It seems like a stupid question, but the game is illogical in other places, and coming from WoW where, somehow, mines will "grow" more ore, I just wanted to make absolutely certain...the same mine, will not spawn more ore after it's mined out, right? I mean you can't go back to the same spot a month later and find ore there, if you mined it out, right?

Warcraft does that because it's a multiplayer game, and there are millions of other people who want to mine ore, besides you. And this is a single player game. But it seems like they've made other MMO like changes just to attract that mindset of player. So, even though it seems unlikely, I find that I can't be absolutely certain that it is not so.

So...do ore veins respawn?

yes, very slowly. VERY.

Ore mines in games such as Wow came back faster, because its an MMO. But you could purchase items from another player for insane prices at the Trader.

In Skyrim once you mine an ore vein it does come back, I believe the time is one month (in game time). Most people just purchase the materials from Blacksmiths, since they seem to carry a supply of different types of materials all the time

Yes. At least you can buy rare metals like ebony ore from the various smiths once you've discovered the mine.

Don't need to discover the mine in order for the smith to sell it. I never found an ebony ore vein (early in my game), went to "Bits and Pieces" and the lady had 3 for sale.

Yeah, about 3-4 weeks game time. I've heard 4 weeks, but I found them to be refilled in 3 weeks before.

Yeah they respawn, besides, it's not like you mine a bit and the whole mine is empty. Miners mine for years in one spot and find more.
