Spoiler You Wish Was Never Spoiled

What aspect of this game do you wish you have found yourself, and didn't have it spoiled from the internet, people telling you, etc?

I can honestly say that I haven't really had anything ruined in this game. I stayed away from the forums from the time Skyrim was announced to the time it was released, and I didn't spend a lot of time in the Spoilers Section after I got the game. I had no idea Paarthunax was a dragon until I saw him for the first time. When I first got to the Throat of the World and saw him, I used my Slow Time shout and shot him three times with my Nightingale bow before I realised he wasn't hostile.

That Werewolves were in the game. BTW this is from before the release.

Fus Ro Dah. I was amazed when I first used it (not Fus, but the whole shout) and wished I would have discovered it by myself.

Dragons.

Maybe that sounds stupid.

Alduin is obviously a...um, concern, at Helgen. Everyone freaks out; even Tullius loses his cool (He shouts "Run, you idiot!" when you get near him. He's near the mages throwing firebolts at Alduin, right after you have to hug the wall with Hadvar, if you've never heard it).

Then the fight with Mirmulnir (spelling?) is like, okay. Go kill this dragon, over here, when you have time. You've seen a dragon before, so you know what to do, right? By the way, that mage you met, y'know, the dragon expert? Yeah he's going to sit here and stare at books while you do it. Here, take this dark elf who threatened you before and a handful of mouth-breather guards instead.

I don't know, fighting dragons seemed almost trivial before I ever fought one.

In the same way that I wish I didn't know about the Star Wars prequels:
Spoiler

Two sided light saber, Yoda being in it, and probably a few other things.
...I wish I didn't know there were dragons. That surprise would have been so great.

Also, all the things shown in the loading screens, like what creatures and items look like, were spoilers for me.

The fact that there is a fight between Paarthurnax and the Blades. Still haven't reached that point...

honestly before playing a game, i like to know the full story, all the spoilers and stuff since i might miss them. So reading spoilers before attempting a game is good for me.

Ooh, that svcks. I'm glad I was a virgin for that one.

For me I guess it's that there's a shout that summons dragons. I would have flipped out (in a good way) if I'd gotten that without knowing about it in advance.

That during the DB questline you kill the Emperor. It would have been really cool to find that out the first time I did it.

Not so much a spoiler, but while I was climbing the mountain to talk to Parthuunax for the first time, I kind of spoiled it for myself. I suddenly thought, "Y'know, I bet he's a dragon." And I was disappointed to find that I was right. It would've been much more fun to be surprised.

Otherwise, I religiously avoided all Skyrim forums -- not just the spoiler forums -- until I had a few playthroughs under my belt. I still haven't experienced everything the game has to offer or completed every quest line, but I hit all the major points on my own. Anything that gets spoiled at this point wouldn't bother me too much.

Ouch. This is a pretty big one to have spoiled. No scratch that. This is the worst kind of spoil you could get. Seriously, it was a moment of awe when you see that dragon on that mountain and you're like "WTF? A dragon fight here and now?" and then he talks to you and you're like "OMG! Dude, you're freaking dragon. The leader of the Greybeards is a freaking dragon! How sick is that?".

Then it's like "Hey, you're the first dragon who's not trying to eat me. You're kind cute when you stick your nose in my face like that. Whose a cute dragon? You are! Wanna play fetch?". (Okay, I made this bit up. Lol.)

Whoever ruined this for you should be shot. Unless you were browsing in sections you were not suppose to before finishing your game. Then kick yourself very hard.

Bah. You know he'll be back. The lady in red (the one with the obsession with killing kids) said he'd need her.

On topic, for me it was the fact that werewolves were in the game. Even knowing, though, the reveal was rather cool.

I heard the "reveal" was premature, I read Bethesda weren't going to tell anyone at all, but some game critic let it slip.

LOLZ, when I got to throat of the world, and saw Paarthurnax, I was like, HE'S A DRAGON!! OMG!! And that was when I realized I was in a party with a friend on the quest before that.

I managed to avoid the Emperor and Paathurnax getting spoiled.

The Companions being werewolves, and what that scary as heck voice in Labyrinthian was would be the main two that got kinda of deflated for me. (Comparatively, Molag Bal actually gave a start with his similar schtick, especially as I'd already done Vaermina's quest, which would be who I'd expect to be pulling that haunted house nightmare stuff)

The game spoiled Paarthurnax being a dragon for me -.-" the tablets say he is a dragon, and arngeir says Paarthurnax.
You don't need to be a genius to understand it's the same one.
Also I got the beginning spoiled. -.-"
But I still panicked in the game cause first time I saw Alduin close up, DAYUM HE SCARY!

I realised Paarthurnax was a dragon when I was still very low level - essentially by reading the stones on my up to High Hrothgar - one of the stones mentions how Paarthurnax taught humans the thu'um ... that sorta gave it away. Still, it didn't really take anything away from the experience of turning that corner and seeing him sitting there in all his dragonny lovelyness - is it wrong to be attracted to a dragon? .... maybe that's a separate issue

this sort of implies that I didn't know I could avoid a spoiler chat

I didn't have anything ruined for me. the only "spoiler" I got I was actually glad for... my boyfriend told me to go up the hill from Riverwood and just get the claw for the guy at the Riverwood Trader and not to worry about going to Whiterun first.

Spoiler
Paarthurnax vs Blades
However, I did avoid the "He is a dragon" spoilers. My reaction when I reached the top was: "Oh [censored] dra - wait, where's the battle music?"

I read up quite a bit about skryim but the only real spoilers I had was from watching playthroughs as I didn't get the game when it came out.
I can honestly say I wish I hadn't spoiled the beginning but there were many other moments in the game that made up for that.
