How do i encounter the darkbrotherhood assassin, tried all p : V

Like what i said in the title, how do i encounter one DB assassin? I didnt talk to that quest giver yet, and i basically robbed nearly every house in whiterun and parts of windhelm, and also murdering some NPCS. However i only get 3 thugs after me and thats it. Any1 has any idea?????

Go to an innkeeper ( I usually go to Riverwood's) and ask for rumors. He says some kid in Windhelm is performing the Black Sacrament. Go talk to him, do his quest. After you finish the quest, sleep anywhere (outside of Windhelm if i recall) and the quest line will begin.

I've read that you can also eliminate the DB. Is this true? And do I still need to initiate the quest in the same way (i.e. by helping that pathetic kid)?

Thanks guys. I have to say, that's a bit... I dunno, stupid? I'm trying to RP my character is being a really good guy, killing bandits, helping the people etc. Going off to murder by request (admittedly because I want to end killing so to speak) just smacks of... hypocrisy! Gah...

I think the assassin thing is infinitely variable. I've got at least 3 toons where I eventually offed the DB - but long before that, I wound up with assassins with notes from Astrid. On my current khajiit toon, I've never seen a DB assassin - not before getting rid of the DB, and not since.

first playthrough 200+ hour never saw one db assasin.
second playthrough 30+ hours saw 2 of them.

You can also potentially "force" them by visiting an undiscovered area of the world map, saving at the point before the game generates a random encounter, then reloading till it gives you the db assasin will do the true but its a little time consuming due to the sheer quantity of random encounters.

havent u read what i said? I said how do u encounter a DB assassin, not joining the DB. Also, if u join the DB u cant encounter the assassins anymore.

Astrid seems to be the only one that has sent assassins after me... I think I'll kill her soon.

PS. If I kill all of them will assassins still come after me?

i might try that, but dont those DB assassins spawn in town, or they are just like the hired thugs?

By all possible ways, i mean that i have absolutely no more idea how to get them spawned. I dont want to go on a killing rampage though, i m a good guy

Why do you want them to spawn anyway though? You don't really get any loot off the body or anything, just some standard as daggers and a note from Astrid..

You don't join the DB. You kill the old witch at the orphanage, then when you get kidnapped you kill Astrid and take out the DB instead of joining it.

KIll an old woman near Riverwood named Anise, she lives all alone in a shack. EDIT they will come for you because of this.
