Does it bother anyone else that when you have an officer's rank, none of the soldiers seem to respect it?

Some folks are just wholly unimpressed by rapid progression?

I agree so much... come on, even in Morrowind the soldiers greeted you according to your rank...

To be fair, I get the impression the Guards are getting second-hand information. No one knows you're an Archmage, Harbinger, or what not unless you tell them.

They even follow you inside your house to finish their insults... Hmm, next time a guard follows me into my house, I should "make him disappear"... hehehehe

If a guard insults me, I actually talk to my monitor and be like, Dude you know how many dragons I've slain and how many undeads are now truly dead, because of me? And you? What have you done lately to make Skyrim a better place? NOTHING... you just run your mouth and hide behind patrolling save streets! PSH YOU SIR HAVE NO RIGHT TO TALK TO ME... AT ALL

Sorry... I get carried away when it comes to the "I get no respect, no respect at all" topics... hahahahahahaha

I'm not even talking about the town guards even. Tullius promotes me and the Imperial soldiers around give me lip. I am sure the same is true if you become a Stormcloak. I mean...where's the respect for the chain of command?

Town guards have a bit of an excuse...I don't think they are technically part of the Imperial Military. Hmm, maybe they are though and it is like being part of a different branch. Seems more like being in the army verses being a cop though (still usually some respect both ways there would be expected).

Oh, I only played the Stormcloak civil war quest line and we are all Brothers and Sisters in arms. Nobody talks down to you there, it's a whole different camaraderie I guess. Everybody treats you with kindness and respect. Ralof is really happy to see you, when you go on missions with him.

I can totally see that the Imperial Soldiers are idiots =p hahahaha

none even know your the dam THANE either. at least until you tell them the point of the "you must be known by the people before i can" sorta implies the guards should know as soon a your made it.

People spawned for quests act different. People outside of that, however, act like regular guards it seems. I am not sure how it is at the camps (last time I was there they acted like I hadn't signed up). Perhaps Stormcloak players don't notice it since Ulfric doesn't have stormcloaks standing around him, unlike the Imperial ones posted inside Tullius's command center and right outside.

Yeah, I wish I could gather a group of soldiers. Like 4 or 5 to travel with me. Since y'know, I am a Legate...
