I have the 360 version and I must say that sapphire is one fine woman, however I am quite disheartened that I cannot marry her. I would like to suggest Bethesda, if they could make her an option to be married in a future dlc or perhaps in a patch?

As posted, if you talked to her about what happened when she was a child, not only will you find out why she's not interested in marriage, but why she's so - as you put it - "[censored]y."

IMO, she has every right to be hateful and angry at the world...

It's weird that you can't hurt children but you can have [censored] in your game.

Well, I've not done any of the Thieve's Guild quests on my first character so she doesn't give me any dialogue options.

It's no excuse: if you hate the world long enough eventually the world will hate you. If you don't focus your hate you're no better than a Sith.

I just wish there was more to the dialog with her. Her backstory is interesting that you'd think there would be more to her after you join the guild. It's so odd. She'll greet you nicely, but the only thing you can say to her is ask for her name again which turns her all b*tchy and sends her into her backstory again. I guess someone got bored with developing her as a character and just gave up.

what happened to her as a kid?

Well.... probably something similar to any recent news story of child sixual abuse.... maybe by a family member, and perhaps including seeing her immediate family/protector killed.

No - I don't know, since I never do that questline. But I have a very good imagination....

I don't believe her story (tragic story of horrific happenings in her youth). It's so cliche and the way she told it left me expecting there'd be more to it. I'm waiting for her to follow it up with some kind of con and then I'll find out she told me that load of [censored] to get me to be sympathetic to her so I'd trust her. I don't really expect there to be more because it's Beth and that would be highly unlikely, but it's the kind of thing I'd expect from her character.

some bandits came and killed everyone but her. she then began her time of sixual slavery.

she gained the bandits trust eventually and killed them all. now she is in Riften.

is it any wonder that she will not marry?
