A Quick Weapon Damage question

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:06 pm

Alright, so I was wondering if this was indeed true? I have two Daedric swords, both upgraded to legendary status and a ring equipped that allows me to deal about 91 damage with each one of them, and I dual wield the both of them. Not only that, but both have been enchanted to have 46 fire damage (both of them) and 46 frost and shock damage for one and the other. Because of that, I calculated that with the perks in single handed that I have, the ring, the status of the weapons, and the enchantments, that both of these swords being used in a dual flurry results in about 366 damage, not including any other possible benefits (critical hits, double damage, etc.) Not only that, but my Dragonplate armor has about 426 armor rating, due to it being upgraded considerably so. Now, I'm not complaining here, as I like what I have. Being able to slice up an Ancient Dragon in less than a minute is fun. I was wondering if this was a normal occurrence at higher levels (50+ and so).

Also, not sure if it matters, I'm just using a Dark Elf character.

The skill perks are already calculated in, no need to calculate again. Anyway, its normal for anyone who's pushed those skills up that high, I suppose. Wear some Fortify Smithing gear and upgrade your equipment even more.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you asking if your damage number calculations are correct or are you asking if you're damage will go up with your class-less level?

I'm asking if they are correct... and is this the norm for high leveled characters.

Ah. Yeah, the math seems correct, and, from what I can tell: the damage is strictly controlled by your skill level in any given constellation and your perks in that constellation. For example (again, as I understand it ), a level 11 with 100 One-Handed and all the perks for swords will do the same amount of damage as a level 50 with those same skill/perks.

Edit: ...with the same weapon.
