Usually DLC comes much later as they have to actually make it, because they said they didn't know what they wanted to do for DLC before the release.

I agree. I would at least like to know what the DLC is they're working on, or when it's coming out. Not that I've tapped this game out at all; I just get excited.

It only came out last novemeber, let them fix the game on the PS3 and make the PC version more stable before any DLC as thats sure to come with its own problems, things of beths size always do its impossible for it not to.

best thing to do is read the books and really listen and talk to everyone in-game you can about possibilities.

CK is the first on the list for them I guess and they are probably working on getting the steam mod system running smoothly. DLC shouldn't be expected so early, maybe within 6 months they will have the first expansion/dlc available.

If I see DLC on games too early I get suspicious...to me that means they didn't truly work on DLC they are just adding back in parts that were cut out of the original.

.....Uhhh, no it's not.

But getting a big DLC (more like expansion) is more likely and isn't going to fly out of there in just a couple months with 3 platforms to get bug free, and getting CK available for PC and steam set up with the mod sharing thing. Impatience will only bring you un-needed anxiety.

I think after getting most quest bugs, and other issues fixed, they will start working on DLC. Fixing the main game should come first and foremost, that way people can enjoy any DLC at it's intended without previous issues ruining it. *cough* PS3 Lag *Cough*

I rather thought he meant that in 6 months it will be nearly a year since the game came out. It would be the better part of a year at that point....

Lol okay....the shock of their post threw me off lol. I did say "maybe within 6 months" so technically between now and early summer.

I agree with tat2teel. Bigger issues then rushing out an expansion or notable DLC right now. I have a ps3, but I got skyrim for PC since that's all ive ever played these games on, I hope 1.4 helps out the ps3 folks.

Oh, I agree. The consoles seem to have so many more issues than pc. I do hope the upcoming patch will help.

We'll probably see a DLC announcement in Feb./March and a first release somewhere in April. Normally I would project a lot later than that, but the team they have now (Especially the level designers) is extremely large, and extremely talented, and the tools they have are extremely powerful.

I think they have a lot on their plates in terms of bugs and glitches to be worried about DLC. In fact, releasing a DLC anytime soon would probably be met with some backlash especially from ps3 users.

which means that us Xbox players will end up being the test group for the DLC. We'll encounter most of the bugs and then they will release a patch for it about the same time they release the DLC for PC and PS3 with the bugs already fixed. There is a downside to getting it early.

You mean the xbox has to play the buggy version for a month.

I remember the Pitt for Fallout 3, and how all my ps3 using friends laughed at my bugs that were fixed by the time they got em. PC user now, perfectly content to let xbox users test my content for me.

First FO3 DLC was released about 3 months after the game came out.
First FO:NV DLC came out 2 months after the game. (yes, I know NV was Obsidian's, but I suspect Bethesda, as the game publisher, was probably managing the schedule)

We should probably expect the first DLC for mid february at the latest. The announcement should arrive shortly.

Although maybe, the incredible number of bugs to fix will delay the DLC for a while ...

Me too. Besides, this is Bethesda's greatest seller so far, so it's better for them to concentrate on solving bugs and open issues least they reputation will suffer.

Then, I'll rather have them work on 2-3 expansions rather than smallish DLC like new player houses, minor quests ala "knights of the nine" and so on...

DLC, I think they are going to sit back and let the CK mod guys go to town and start loading stuff to steam and see what the PC mass's like that way they can get a feel for what to incorporate into some of the smaller DLCs. I feel for the console guys/girls as they have to sit back and wait and wait while us PC players get a lot more to enjoy in the form of for the same price of admission
