So my gIrlfriend was playing and came across something called "Elven Light Armor" as opposed to "Elven Armor" had anyone come across this?

Yes.... it's a bit less armor rating I think, though the overall look is the same. May wiegh a bit less too, not sure.

It's mostly found on Thalmor. Usually when the level scailing thinks you're not ready for Elvin Armor, I like the Gilded Elven armor.

ok, seriously tho, the difference is the shoulders. the armor that you can make has big and bulky shoulders where the light armor from the thalmor (as the previous poster correctly noticed) doesn't really have that. i think the 'light' version that you found looks better on females which is what i equip for my wife when we adventure together

i type eleven all the time when browsing the game's bsa files.

It's just used by Thalmor soliders. Think they might use Glass armor at higher levels. Thalmor Mages keep the robes on all levels

I'm not sure it ever goes away; at level 32 (which granted isn't that high, as armor goes) I'm still seeing "elven light armor" on pretty much all the Thalmor grunts.

My quick scan of "Falmer War Axe" often becomes "Falmer Ear Wax."

Some thalmor soliders will scale, others(likely thalmor guards on the world map) never scale.
