Elven Followers?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:15 pm

I'm currently RPing Geralt from the Witcher, and I want a good iorveth follower, but the only elven follower I've found is Faendal, and he's... Fragile. Anyone know of good bow wielding elves to follow me into battle?

There's a female dark elf at the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun. I'm not sure if you can stretch your roleplay quite that far, though.

Bow user?
Yes, she uses a bow. She's an excellent dual wielder as well.
There's another Dunmer, Athis, a Companion. He has archery as a primary skill, but he's a trainer in One-handed so I'm not sure how often he'll use his bow...

Erandur is one of the best companions I've seen. He's primarily a magic user, but if you give him a bow he'll use that too.

I started a new game with a male High Elf, I met up with Faendal and found the same clothes at the blacksmiths home in the basemant. I look like a huge version of the wood elf. Later I got the fur armour with the bare chest but fur on shoulders, Nords will run away hahar!

Do like I did:

Conjuration to 90, even though I'm a melee character mostly (in heavy armor.)

Get quest from winterhold from conjuration guy, to buy master books.

Get dead thrall spell. Enchant a junk ring, and neclace, to switch to when doing dead thrall (since I have no where near that
much magicka, "fortify conjuration, conjuration spells cost less" switch to those on the one or so times you need to cast
dead thrall.

Go to thalmor embassy again. Kill a Thalmor soldier. Dead thrall her, bring her home. Kill her again or cast another conjuration summons (also kills her.)
Take out her armor, smith and enchant it up. Toss it back in along with a daedric bow, sword, shield and one daedric arrow.
They will only use the original armor they came with, so you buff up her glass armor or whatever (but they will use any weapons, so I took out
her original dagger and bow.)

Go waste junk. She'll shoot most of the time, until within melee range. Unlike my buddy Mjoll, she''ll really use the daedric bow too.

She is almost as good as Mjoll, who can't die at all, since if the dead thrall does die you just cast it again (though for some reason,
posts said to remove all of the gear from her after she dies, put it back in and THEN dead thrall the corps again. You also have to "zone"
for her to be seen wearing it again.)

That makes me think of something else, I wonder if you can have a dead thrall be the person you kill at Boethiah whatever thingie and then simply
dead thrall them again? Would have saved me the time of leaving Mjoll somewhere and having a "throw away" follower to kill there.
