Argis the Bulwark Housecarl or packmule

Ok so I hope I’m not over posting this one or taking thunder for finding.

I had decided to move from The College of Winterhold to Markarth, problem is I stash tons of loot and dragons scale (89 x10) and bone (88 x15) which are damn heavy.
So I decided to use my new Housecarl, Argis the Bulwark Found in Markarth and your Housecarl after purchase of home in said city.

Now I’ve played TES: 4 Fallout 3 and New Vegas and never once with a “Follower/Companion” could they exceed the limit of how much they held even after weight perks/enchantments limit was set up to 400 once they hit it they stoped accepting.

However I asked him to retrieve items in my chests and dressers assuming that he would say no, I knew the only things inside was dragons bone and scale 2210 in all. He pick it up never complained it was too much or too heavy. So I asked him to take everything and he did and still fast traveled his total weight carrying as of now 6654 LB he is a freaking beast even in wolf form limit is 1900 lb.

So Argis the Bulwark and maybe other can be used like a Pack mule and move in one shot instead of multiple time.

i have read that if you give housekarls stuff it is counted as encumerance.

BUT if they pick stuff up it is not counted as encumberance.

Too bad Argis the Bulwark was such a pansy warrior/fighter. Dude got killed on the very first quest I invited him out on. Cant remember which one but it was a rather easy one.

I dunno, I've had him follow along on quite a few quests, last one was down into Blackreach on the MQ, course I DO have him pretty decked out, Better sword & sheild etc. He doesn't seem to like the bow I gave him though.

You gotta remember to look at the followers lvl, most only lvl so far. Give then the best gear you can and when that isn't enough, send them home!

I think how tough your companions are depends on when you recruit them. Apparently, they stop leveling once recruited. This may not always happen, though.
