Thieves Guild doesn't allow followers?

I don't like that when you become the leader of the thieves guild, you aren't able to have anyone as a follower.

Thieves Guild has like the most people out of all the Guilds in Skyrim.

They are all just walking around doing nothing and you can't have a single one of them as a follower.

Would've been nice to have Vex or Sapphire as a follower.

sapphire seemed to have an interesting story and the fact that shes not half bad looking was good.

now she just repeats the same crappy lines over and over.

Well think of it this way; The Thieves in the guild work separately to better the guild as a whole. And if a job gets botched it would be better to have one go down than many of them. It may svck since their are so many, but I think it was designed with that idea in mind.

But if you talk to some of the people in the guild they will tell you how they were with so and so on this mission or that mission.
