I have this idea for a character. But I don't like to lose focus when I have one I'm pretty far along on. Currently I'm playing a Paladin that's level 35 or so, but I really like the idea of playing a Nord character. I've read a lot of dead is dead threads for FONV and I like the idea, but never cared to try it.

Anyway, I've got an idea for a Nord that wanted to be a bard but got waylaid crossing the border into Skyrim. He's very patriotic, so he'll join the Stormcloaks. I figure as a bard, he'll probably use 2H, Light Armor (Nords do get a minor bonus to both), alchemy (for lack of magic for the most part), Conjuration and Illusion (to better maximize the chances of survival, and Smithing with a minor emphasis on enchanting by just using enchanted weapons wherever possible. I'm not going to bother with any difficulty beyond regular, as I enjoy being a hero and not just some random guy that was chosen by destiny to barely survive saving the world. Ideas, tips, advice?

Arni First-Strike has fallen in battle...against the Whiterun Guards. I put an arrow in Heimskr when he called me a maggot. So the Whiterun guard comes after me and I tell them I am the Thane. They let me go. Except then Vignar goes and shivs one of them and the melee starts up again. I run into the Companion's Hall to let them fight my shield brothers, except one of them appears behind me (by the door) and backstabs me. I really enjoyed the DiD playthrough, but man it's no joke.
