Ending of the main quest confusion...

You are only a hero if someone sees you, you are only worthy if you do not ask for greatness..

Most of the time, nobody cares... even if they do, they are busy living their lives.

Isn't it reward enough that they are living - and not a large collection of bacon crispies?

You would think. But I'm shallow and totally not heroic. That's why I'm playing this game, so that I can pretend to be a hero and get rewarded for my amazing deeds. I totally want my cookie.

I agree with O_P as well. I too got more out of finishing the Thieves Guild quests, becoming master of the guild, completing the crown of barenziah and getting that perk to accompany my Guild Master Armor and Tribute chest. I still thought the game was fun and even played it a second time which I am currently doing. I wonder what happens with the main quest line if you have already finished working for the empire or stormcloaks? More specifically I mean, will they still talk of a peace treaty even though the war has been ended? In all honesty I can see it going doown like that. We shall see. I plan on winning for the empire before I go on with the main quest. If I find that this is the case, then I will be truely disappointed.

I completed the civil war then the MQ and nothing like that happens. I think it's only a quest if you haven't finished the civil war quests....

Why do they do this to us? Give me something, anything. Even some reccognition from any person anywhere. Friggin Jarl of Whitrun said "ive got my eyes on you" Really you peice of unappreciating crap? Thats it, no recognition? Put something in the general dialogue at least. I have other stuff to complete, but the main story line is so absurdly ended and dialogue is like I just entered the game that Im completely taken out of the game now. The only way I cant truely play this game fully is start a new character and hold off the end until the end. Enjoy your visit to Whitrun. Really?? Still?
