Archmages Robes

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:08 pm

I recently got the archmages robes and put a dragon priest mask on as well, only to find that my face literally disappears, on UESP it mentions that there are archmage robes without a hood, is there anyway I can obtain these?

EDIT: is there anyway of making my face reappear?

It is a mask my friend...The whole point is to cover one's face...I think the dragon priest masks look the $h*t....I do not believe there is anything other than not wearing the mask you can do...

there are a good number of hoods, cowls and masks that make your face covered completely

if you prefer you can use a circlet under the archmages robes... otherwise yeah, the mask is going to cover your face. It's a kinda cool look, if you dig hoods to begin with, which I do.

Sorry I didn't make it obvious in the question, as in my face vanishes, I look like a Nazgul of lord of the rings, I know I won't be able to see my face haha, but as in, my head literally isn't there

It's a known bug. Sometimes the mask will render and sometimes it will not.

I have the same problem but it rectifies itself after a few hours of being worn.

I've found that I can switch between the mask rendering and the hood rendering simply by loading a save. Quicksave, quickload, and problem solved.

I think it got fixed in 1.4 beta, so if it's bugging you that much you should download...
  • Fixed issue where dragon priest masks would not render correctly

Edit: Scratch that. I read that fix didn't make it into the beta.
