So I was on my way from Whiterun and going west trying to find an alter that the Greybeards told me about when I ended up near a fort that had a bandit leader I needed to kill to collect a bounty. Well I killed all the bandits outside when this guy came sneaking up to me and hands me something and asks me to hold onto it. Well my phone rang at that point so I missed what it was he handed to me. When I talk to this guy all he says is don't tell anybody what he was doing or I would regret it. Who the hell is this guy and what did he hand me?

IT's a random enchanted item, not really important to anything. There should be someone finding you soon if you're still in that area asking if you saw someone. You can give them back the item, or keep it.

Radiant quest that's obviously not properly finished.

Its just a random item, in my case i was given shields more than anything. It's happened multiple times to me throughout the game, and i think it's more of an inconvenience than anything.

As the first poster said, there should be a person that comes after them, and you can choose to keep the item or give it back. If you keep it, you can give it back to the person that gave it to you for a small reward. They'll find you just like they did when they gave it to you.

ah ok thanks. Well the person who comes after that guy is gonna have some looking to do. I ended up going into the fort and killing the bandit leader then booking it north west into the mountains. Guess I'll see if anybody finds me.

You'll never see the guy again.

I always end up killing the hunter, who had his item stolen. I can't believe he just kills him for stealing his weapon, it's murder I tell you.

it happen to me to it's just a random item you'll really never see the guy again I got a bow of lightning from him glad I never saw him again.
