First off I'm playing on Xbox 360. I just started this quest, and my objective is to find Meridias' Beacon. The problem is that my quest marker is just pointing me to a torture chair in the Dawnstar Sanctuary. There's nothing there for me to get, I've searched everywhere in the area, checked other places online to see if this has happened to others, but have found no solution to my problem. I was also hoping maybe by using clairvoyance it'd point me to the real location, but whenever I use it it takes me into the Dawnstar Sanctuary, but then when I use it inside the Sanctuary, it just points me to the door to go back out into Skyrim again, so something is clearly wrong.

Has anybody run into this issue and found a solution?

Eventually during the DB questline you go to a ship that only spawns at a certain point. It is a special assassination that you have to unlock a door in the same room the killing happens. It's the only pickable door in the room.

Thanks for the link. I guess I'll have to revert a safe from before I ever started the quest and hope I get lucky and that it works this time.
