so i just did the part where you use the elder scroll to learn dragonrend and poof i come back to alduin staring at me! i didn't know i had to fight him then! luckily 2 bound swords later and he surrendered. although i thought i finished the game (which would have been disappointing) i still get to fight him again. someone please tell me hes a little harder next time

Only thing he has going for himself is a lot of health...ancient/elder dragons do more damage. He really is a total joke for something that's supposed to be the big bad boogie man of the whole game.

Well next time it will be a lot easier, as you have plenty of backup..

Yeah, the first time was hardest for me...

the second time IMO he was much easier...you had backup, and at least for me he didn't fly at all nor use any shouts. Total joke. The first fight should have been the final fight, at least that *felt* epic...

This. Getting to Alduin is much harder than killing him.

That was just a TRAINING dude.

The real Alduin, before you able to kill him, you must clear several dungeon, killing dragon priest, and... SPOILER

But... when fighting the "real" Alduin, well... "meh"

the first time i fight alduin(after learning dragonrend) is the harder of the 2 fights IMO. On master difficulty and only level 30ish, that guy can sure destroy my HP bar with one breath. Luckily i had my companion who...died and meeko, who died too. I also used sanguine rose many times. Problem was alduin's HP is a lot during that time, took me 15min of running and jumping, most of the time is just running around, and i finally killed him. Hell that was the best fight ever.
