I would like to do all the Companions Quests But.....

I would like to do all the Companions Quests but I'm unsure of taking the werewolf plunge.
My character is a real “Goody two shoes" I help everyone in need and destroyed the dark
Brotherhood. My worry is that becoming a werewolf will have a down side to my characters
Standing in skyrim. Can I manage the risks or is it just not worth the trouble?

A 'goody-two shoes' doesn't use a power like the small font.

Go, be a werewolf; you have already befouled these lands.

You can cure yourself later, and you aren't forced to ever turn into a werefolf other than during the initiation ceremony. From an RP persepctive the companions are split between those who see it as a blessing and those who see it as a curse. In order to help those who see it as a curse you need to become one of them etc.

Simply go with them until you are offered to become a werewolf. You won't be made into gaining lycanthropy, you can actually turn the offer down.

Skyrim has no good or evil. The townspeople don't care if you've murdered hundreds. Wonder what you'll make of the Daedric quests?

As stated, you can cure the wolf disease- and those people trying to kill those wolves? They aren't so great themselves- you'll see. In short, you'll have moral cover for being a carniverous beast.

Please do not post Spoilers in General.

People come to General to learn about the game without learning about what happens in the game. If they want to know about what happens, that is what the Cheats, Hints and Spoilers section is for.

Do not use quest details or location specific details related to quests/puzzles/NPCs in your posts in this section. General is for discussing gameplay and mechanics. General topics about the the game include but are not limited to races, items and their use, magic, enchanting, skills, character builds, criticism, praise, funny random things that happen, places from an esthetic standpoint and and other general topics.

Use the Spoilers Section if you have to post quest details or other spoilers or a thread about the same. This also includes console commands, and character build exploits.

I will move this now.

I did the quest and became a werewolf but except for the first few minutes I've never used the ability. One good thing is being a werewolf you will never get any other diseases. You can toss all your Cure Disease potions.

I feel pretty much the same. My fighter type is usually pretty straight, I didn't want to become a werewolf and I didn't feel much enthusiasm for the mission that followed.

my advice is its your game. if you don't want to become a werewolf then don't.

However as others have said no one seems to worry to mch about it. the companions are still held in fairly high regard in skyrim

I felt the same way, but I went ahead and did it. The good thing is that the Companions quest line reveals a lot of ambivalence about being a werewolf; curing one of the Companions is central to the plot line, and you get the opportunity to cure yourself as well as some of the other members later on. So it isn't like the Companions is all about a happy bunch of evil werewolves, and it's perfectly possible to play a good character all the way through the Companions questline.

At first I didn't really bother using the Beast form, but then I found a good reason for using it: slaughtering Imperial camps. During the war I mauled dozens of Imperials in beast form, the RP reasoning being that they filled her with such rage she allowed the beast blood to take over. As a practical matter, it also avoids you getting charged with murder when you attack Imperials in their camps, since the crimes you commit in beast form go away once you transform back to human form.

However, when it was revealed that werewolves go to Hircine's hunting grounds after death, rather than Sovngaarde, she decided to cure herself.
