I was playing around with setrace, as you do, seeing what my character would look like as an Orc, a Bosmer, an Imperial, and a Dwarven steam centurion, but when I changed back to her actual race it wouldn't let me swing my weapon on any of my saves. And changing weapon doesn't make a blind bit of difference. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? I've invested a lot of time and effort into this character and wouldn't want to see it wasted. Thank you.

The Setrace command in the console should not have effected any of your previous saves, you could try coping your save files to a new folder and reinstalling skyrim.
