I mastered Destruction and am Trying to Master Enchanting ..

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 5:49 am

what else should I invest in conjuration doesnt really appeal to me in Skyrim as much as it did in Oblivion due to lack of summoning Daedra only reason I've even used the familiar spell was to zap the wolf with the hardest spells I had when I couldnt find any "test subjects" (giants and mammoths) ...

I'm just trying to reach level 50 with out doing a huge ton of quest

are the illusion or alteration schools any good ? on that note with Paralyze can bear rolling still be done ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbJkyii6HWw

I don't think anyone would know what to raise for your character but there are very easy ways to get to level 50 fast but beware this will make the game very easy and boring, it's not something you want to do if your really trying to role play. Here a link that shows you how to raise levels easy.

Also I think you can summon a daedra once you get a high conjuration skill. Just like the other spell schools the master sped usually come with a quest and correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure summon daedra is a spell.

illusions good if you want to expand your sneak skills by adding mental confusion spells like fury and calm spells as well as muffle and such

restoration is easy to level and can help fortify companions

the spells all get better at higher levels (when I think you can sunmmon deadra - not sure what though)

What kind of "class" are you playing? Pure mage? Spellsword? Sorcerer?

If you're not wearing armor, then Alteration is a decent school. If not, then I'd probably skip it unless you're wanting some magic resistance perks and the option to paralyze. Illusion's pretty beefy for dealing with enemies of all kinds. Fits the "Sorcerer" build in my mind, especially when combined with Destruction, Enchanting and some nice Heavy Armor. :)

You take conjure Familiar

and you blast it with thunder

repeat

if cant cast thunder cast a wall spell untill you can purchase and cast thunder (just go up the power level of spells dont continue with sparks if you can cast soemthing better)

also just mastered Alteration all it took was Paralyze and a Giant (stopped playing yesterday at 97 alteration)

Grindlivion. Repeatrim. Morrowfarm. Boredomfall.

So you just sit there conjuring things and blasting them? ...all the way to 100? Just curious.
If you want to level a skill quickly use illusions muffle. that levels really really fast, also you can soul trap corpses if you haven't maxed conjuration yet.
If you are on the pc, just edit yourself in the skills you want. I assume you aren't since you are doing an insane/boring amount of grinding.

Use the Oghma Infinium trick. It goes pretty fast and it's better than grinding.

One of the high level conjuration spells is Summon Dremora Lord, and it's awesome. Even if the Dremora Lord wasn't a total behemoth (which he is), I'd be casting him all the time for the ambient dialog alone. If you haven't already, hit the mages college, find the conjuration dude, and get that spell!!

My caster character has focused on Conjuration, Destruction, and dabbled in Restoration. The only Alteration I've used was for the Transmute spell. If you're going to walk around in cloth, I hear Alteration is pretty much essential. Illusion certainly sounds fun, what with all the fearing, calming, and frenzying... I just don't know if the spells keep pace with the levels of baddies you encounter.

I have a question about the armour upgrades in alteration

will they still work the Morkei mask I wear is apparently "Light Armour" (took me a while to figure out why my light armour skill kept increasing o.0)

also about the resist/absorb magicka perks does this also effect friendly spells such as heal self ? would svck if there a chance of absorbing my own spell as im about to die

Sadly armour perks won't work if you are wearing any armour, that includes dragon masks.

Thanks for the tips on Destruction guys! I've got my Alteration (and the fatness of my coinpurse...) very high using Transmute. I'd imagine that Conjuration would rise pretty quickly with the aforementioned method as well.

I hadn't thought about Muffle raising Illusion that fast though... I may have to go purchase a new spell here in a little bit.

Bear rolling, haha. People usually use Ice Form shout and Frost Trolls now, but the concept is still there. There is a bonus to this newer method as well.

Found a better clip.

And this is what happens if you're the victim of Ice Form.
