Did we get another update after 1.3?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 2:11 pm

I just started up steam and let it go online and it supposedly updated skyrim though I already had version 1.3, but I cannot find any notice of there being another update, or what that update may have changed.

I just downloaded something for Skyrim, too. I was hoping there would already be patch release notes up here.

There was a bethblog post a couple weeks ago about them working on an LAA patch (large address aware - it allows the exe to use a bit more memory on systems with more than 4GB of RAM). It may be that they released the LAA version to Steam, but it does seem odd that they wouldn't announce that they had done so. Maybe the announcement will come later today.

PC users get an extra patch the console users don't.

Enjoy Skyrim being able to see an extra 2GB of your RAM without any third party wizardry.

It's LAA patch...but they released it in a "muted way"...just a few lines on the blog...and no special release notes.

That's all it patched though.

Well, apart from fixing the game for Spanish / French / users.

It broke sli rendering for me, I'm not very happy now as you can imagine... steam force update me when I restarted the game flashing an tearing all over, sli issue...

Probably it is no longer detected properly by the driver, causing this issue... still looking for fix, will post if I find...

edit: verified, new ini... but still no goodness w. sli... exe has the same name, so it should pass the driver profile detection, but apparently not... it's the 290.36 btw.

edit2: ok,,, don't know what happend there, but after a re-install of the driver it started working again ... something odd on my part it seems... wander how that could happen exactly at the point the update happened...

Does it work better than the unofficial one? I felt no increase in performance.
