The PUNISHMENT of serving your time in jail = loss of all xp

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 10:05 pm

thats a rather weak punishment .-. more so once all skills are level 100 or if you had just leveled up your skills and had no xp to lose in the 1st place

tho I didnt go on crime spree after crime spree i just killed soem one and served my time out of curiosity once

it would be neat if i could level back wards by commiting crimes and serving my time like in previous TES games (or was that only Morrowind I've never commited a crime in Cyrodriil and served my time...)

if all you lose is XP ... what would of been a better punishment for killing random innocent people

It all depends on the amount of time spent there. If you escape straight away, there is no penalty to your xp. It's counted in days I think. It's always better to pay off your bounty, unless you are going for jail escape achievement.

Well, I think the whole bounty system is a bit absurd. IMO, it's fine if you get caught stealing, but there's no way that a murderer caught red-handed goes in for a few days of jail time and then goes free in a medieval society. Sorry, but the game should be over, your character will be crowfood by the next dawn.

Have an immortal and really annoying follower (like the Adoring Fan from Oblivion) follow you for the rest of the game

I think they should take a page out of the GTA series and scale up the pursuit level as the bounty goes up. Get a 30,000 gold bounty and you've got the feds and army after you and there's no way you're going to survive more than about 5 minutes. It ends with a cutscene and beheading then reloads at your previous save. Or the screen just goes dark for a while, and you hear guards mumbling about the mass murderer, and when you get out of prison, you have all your stats set at base, you're sick, and very old, and you hear of what events transpired --> all the stuff you could have prevented.

It's the same, except you get man handled by the guards for a while, if you know what I mean.
