Now I hate pirates as much as the next guy but he already said he'd buy the game, so why argue?
Let this thread die now cause it's obviously not appropriate for this forum.

 Wow this is...weird. He's defending himself so jubilantly :D rather unusual for someone who's pirated a game, normally people would try to act normal or something.

Well, at least Arrow_Knee is being honest about what he/she had done. You don't see that very often these days. I applaud your honestly, Arrow_Knee. This isn't sarcasm, by the way. This is being sincere.

If it is true that you live in the Netherlands, your ARE bound to EU law which -surprise!- says that using pirated software is illegal.

Maby this is my payback for ALL the games i've downloaded so far. :(

Piracy? Of a single game? Of MORE? Piracy is the reason why developers are getting laid off and entire studios are being shut down. That's the reason why they are afraid of publishing on PC. The pirates in Somalia may be helping their economy, but you are hurting ours. You should not be allowed to play with your ill-gotten goods, criminal scum. :stare:

it's funny how you are trying to manipulate the words in something i do... AND so WHAT... can't i defend myself?? maby u live in a thirth world country that the freedom of speech doesn't apply but where i live i can defend myself WHOOLLLEE day long! i am admitting that (some) people here have good points, some off them are accusations and some are insults.... it doesn't matter really... i WILL buy the game TODAY... i love to debatt, but if someone insults me like they do nothing wrong in THEIR lives and pretend that they are mother Therresa herself... and in the meantime leave comment like i am a nazie orsomething.... thats just being ingnorent...

Are you five? How in the hell did he try to manipulate your words? You just discovered a word more than 3 syllables; beyond your usual vocabulary, and you wanted to use it in any possible situation you have found yourself in to come across intelligent. But it's quite contraire, your missuse of words, your terrible spelling, your misplaced punctuation and your horrible grammar just makes you seem dumb. Which is probably pretty accurate. Furthermore, your hypocrisy shines through in this situation. You claim that he "pretend that they are mother Therresa herself..." and that he "leave comment like i am a nazie orsomething". Where did he ONCE even hint towards this, let alone outright claim it? Now you are manipulating his words, and thats called being a hypocrite. By the way, dont pirate. There is no way you can justify this action by saying the things you have said. Just stop.

In Arrow's defense.... I pirated Morrowind(I was 17). But it was glitchy and ran slow... crappy PC. So I bought it for the xbox, then I got the game of the year addition. Then I got Oblivion, and ALL the DC, and Fallout 3, and Vegas. Then I couldn't find my old copies of Morrowind and Oblivion... so I went to game stop and bought used copies. Then I bought Skyrim, and whatever comes out next, I will be there for the midnight release... which says a lot because Bethesda games are the ONLY games I buy 'new' as opposed to pre owned.

Had I not pirated Morrowind I likely would not have played it... come on... it takes a little while to really get into that game and the box did it little justice. I was testing it out, and fell in love with not only it, but everything with the word Bethesda on it. I  TES & FO. Sorry that I pirated Morrowind nearly a decade ago, but I am glad I did.

But the truth is, the majority of pirates don't buy games after they pirate, or wait until it is two dollars in a bargain bin to stroke their guilty conscience.
In your case Bethesda has gained a loyal and paying fan, but nine times out of ten they get screwed around, and if piracy was as bigger problem when Daggerfall came out as it was now Bethesda probably wouldn't even exsist now.

Please pay before you play a game. What if you hated Skyrim? would you still have bought it?

Thats why devs released things called "demos" earlier, so the "potential" customer could test beforehand (everyone knows the press is bought by the publishers and none can rely on their reports/tests).

When there is no demo, the dev encounters one of the following:
1) noone "new" buys the game except for die-hard fans, who buys just becasue its labeled "bethesda" and "tes"
2) potential customer piratea the game to test... so gues whats going to happen nowadays with broadband inet etc pp?

So and when you pirate a game, what is the chance to actualy pay for it?
