Civil war end results? HELP!

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 9:27 pm

hey guys, and girls, i have a question, have you seen any videos or posts involving the changes cities take on after the season unending quest? I prefer making imformed decisions in the sense that i would like to know what happens to each city depending on my decision. For example, if riften is traded, the black briar lady becomes jarl, would that help the thielves guild thrive being in a city where the jarl is leader of another guild, the black briars, what would happen to them? I also heard that killing ulfric puts a pro elf guy as jarl in windhelm, whats he like, can i meet him before hand? I have billions of questions but i won't keep you here all day, i just want to know what are the changes to the world of skyrim depending on the civil war movement. I sincerely don't know who to side with so i have usually found myself staying out of it, because tullius and ulfric are both douchebags, usually only going up to the point where i can get the jagged crown, but i am still aligned with one of them , so i mapped it out and just raided the cave without them, now i have it, and i dont have to give it to anyone. If anyone can help, either directly of pointing me in the way of someone who can, that would be much appreciated. This game is great, i just want to have a great time playing, not spending an eternity saying, damnit why did i do that.!!!!Thanks guys.

Hate to say it but, obtaining the crown before hand will most likely break the quest and keep you from advancing regardless of the side you take.

Also, the crown has to be turned in to advance the quest line. You can't keep it.

If you choose not to do the Civil War I suppose you could keep it. But why? It's not special enough to skip an entire quest line over. It's not even enchanted, is it?

It does look cool but it's pretty useless and not worth skipping a major quest line over.

If you have the console you can turn it in, then give yourself one.

I know there's an entry on one of the wikis about what happens after the Civil War, but I don't remember how I got to it. In general changes are pretty minimal, though.

The end of the Civil War is so poorly implemented nothing of real significance happens. Some faces change and you get a pile of displaced Jarls and stewards below the losing castle, but even that's pointless because most bounty quests will still have you turn in to them. There really are no serious affects on the game world other then a little npc shuffling.

The only value in the end is if you're a serious RP'r and imagine a story yourself and give the events weight entirely on your own.

And if you continue other lines after the CW be prepared for immersion ruining, no sense making, absolute half assed, Beth is incredibly lazy nonsense.
