Bad news about the Hi Res DLC...

It made most of my mods look terrible so I had to disable it. Lame.

Edit: I accidently posted this in the wrong section.

Causes CTD's. And had to disable Texture Pack 01, but no explanation on what pack 01 & 02 is.

I really haven't read anything good about it. The people who don't notice a performance hit don't seem to notice much visual improvement and report longer load times. Waste of time.

I didn't even bother downloading it. My graphics are fine as is and why clutter up my files with a huge texture pack? o.0 Great first DLC /sarcasm...

It's working fine for me and makes everything look much sharper than before. ^.^

Causes repeatable crashes for me. I had to disable it until I figure out a workaround.

I don't have any crashes, except from video RAM occasionally going nuts, but I can give a quick insight on what's in each texture pack -you guessed right, they're two:

Texture Pack 01
  • Actors
  • Clothes
  • Armor
  • Weapons
  • Effects
Texture Pack 02
  • Clutter
  • Interface
  • Architecture
  • Dungeons
  • Plants
  • Furniture
  • Shadertests
  • Terrain
  • Blood
  • Effects
  • Trap
  • Critters
  • Landscape
  • Sky
In short: Pack 01 has everything character/npc/mob related & Pack 02 has everything gameworld related -quite thoughtful of Bethesda, if you asked me.

What this means: You can disable either pack to use your favorite mods OR to reduce your system's load.
