Question about smithin

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:46 am

Ok So I have 100 smithing and made my first set of dragonscale armor a few days ago. But now I want to make daedric weapons but..... I went the way of light smithing and now it wont let me pick the daedric smithing perk.... Do I need to unlock Dwarven, Orc and Ebony smithing just to get daedric? Even though I already have dragon armor perk already unlocked? If that is the point im going to be pretty dissapointed because I dont want to spend 3 perk points on 3 types of armors im never going to smith... In fact Dragonplate armor is the only armor I have smithed so far, because for some reason dragon is the easiest to make but at the same time its the best light armor in the game.

Yes.You need to go all the way around.

If you're a light armor users, you're better off going along the right path and then because the last perk lets you craft both light and heavy variants of dragon armor, you will unlock the best light armor in the game while still learning how to craft daedric weapons.

Probably too late to do that though.

A lot of people are noticing the same thing, and understandibly so. The dang tree does look like a circle.... think of it more as an oddly shaped triangle

It is something very important to note though, becuase most tend to find this out when it is too late and they were under the impression they could just go in the "circle fashion"

Yeah thats the part that is ticking me off, it IS a circle, you look at it and they are all interconnected. I dont see why they didnt make it so you go all the way around either way...

Think of it wouldnt it make sense if you could go either way? Because both routes end up with the ability to make the best armor in game, so by rights you should just be able to go either way....

Ohh well.... Im pretty pissed that I need to spend 3 extra skill points because of some stupid programming, only reason im ticked is because im level 47 so at this point skill points are pretty important. But il get over it.... eventually..... Thanks for the info everyone.

enchant a falmer mask and circlet set both to 29% alchemy boost.

wear both with your additional alchemy gear. Then you can create a 147% smithing pot.

37% for enchant pots.

boost with 29% smith gear and 147% pot.

i agree heavy armor isnt needed. 25% light set perk and 5/5 ligh armor, get steed stone & extra pockets perk.

i just switched to scaled armor bp, heavy gloves&boots with an ancient nord helm. Best combo so far imo & looks great too.

arch & 1h boost, same on ring and amulet.

oh and game set to m difficulty.
