I was near the Ritual Stone when suddenly I saw, down the river, long flames in the night (3.00 a.m.). I first thought about a Whispmother but it really looked like fire. So I went to see but was attacked by an Arch Pyromancer (male) and then an Arch Cryomancer (female). They were dresses in black like necromancers or warlocks.

As it's the first time I see them, can you please tell me more?

According to UESP, they are a leveled firemage that appears at player level 46. I've never seen one myself.

Isn't that road one of the random encounter zones? A fire/ice mage battle is one of those encounters.

I get these guys all the time and there are those Arch Electromancer gits as well, better go in well tooled up when dealing with any of the Arch rated Mages.

I usually hide till one of them kills the other, then I pick off the survivor with a poisoned arrow

I wonder why they are always a fire mage and an ice mage? I've only met one electromancer.

Forget poison, "Ice Storm"...works beautifully.

Electromancers exist? O.o I've logged well over 400 hours in multiple characters and have never seen one xD

Yeah, I've seen these people fighting in the wilderness. I thought it was kind of funny, but I didn't let them finish to see who would win... maybe next time.
