Good Thief Races : V

So i wanted to get a good thief, i know khajiit and argonians make good thieves but im wondering if a redguard would work since i read they are good scouts also i have four characters (thief mage warrior and battlemage) all of which i want to be races of men so that one day they could team up and fight for mankind against the thalmor.

Pretty much any race can do anything, but the ones that get bonuses from the start are also wood and dark elves. Redguard is quite capable of becoming one tho.

Race doesn't really matter at all. You can do anything with any race and be amazing at it. Orc mages, Nord assassins, etc. Doesn't matter at all. Pick whatever race you like.

only a matter of personal choice base on, looks or rp at the end

i use a nord Shinobi

My thief is a Nord. Any race can become a thief.

I was thinking of making said thief a Redguard at character creation, until my friend pointed out that it was SLIGHTLY racist...

Wood Elves are more 'assasain', khaijit are more 'thief' types. Though one of the good things about playing against type is that you can get more levels out of your main skills.

ya i was worried a bunch of people would call me racist, the only reason i want one is that they're the only race of man i haven't used.

In order of how easy it is to make a thief character:

Khajiit, Wood Elf, Argonian, Dark Elf, Redguard, Half Elf, Nord, Imperial, Orc

I would say go with a Nord for your warrior, Redguard for your thief, Breton for your mage and Imperial for Battlemage. Well Breton's are half elves so maybe change them to Imperial.

Race is cosmetic and a the two racials (passive and active). Pick based on those two things and you're sitting pretty. The skill bonuses to start are very quickly irrelevant.

Not picking a redguard because it might be racist is probably slightly more racist than just treating them as, you know, any other race... :biggrin:

I prefer the wood elf for thief. reason being, if I picked a nord or orc they would stand out like the elephant in the room trying to pick someones pocket.....

Forget planet earth. It's not racist in Tamriel. A Khajiit thief on the other hand ...
