Realisitic Interconnected Attribute System

The basic purpose of this mod is create a new attribute system that, done right, would essentially combine wounding mechanics, fatigue modifications, location based damage, attribute based damage, and many other features all into one mod. It would do this by having 3 simple attributes representing 3 of the body’s systems (muscular/skeletal system, cardiovascular system, neuroendocrine system) that interact as each system fatigues or takes damage. For example, if your cardiovascular system is tired, your muscles may not be tired, but they won’t be able do as much because they can only use the energy stored in their muscles (wiki energy systems look at atp-pc to see what I am talking about) rather than aerobic energy from the heart. You also would not be able to think as clearly or do fine movement as clearly either.

Ideally this mod would eventually include the endocrine system at some level so there would be realistic ramifications for that. In other words, this would eventually have a realistic simulation of what adrenaline does to your body. This is actually why sneak attacks work (even if you don‘t hit a critical place on someone‘s body): adrenaline shunts blood away from internal organs and the surface of your skin and into muscles. Attack someone before that happens, and they are significantly more vulnerable. Attack them after, and it takes a surprisingly long time for them to die. I read in a book on military sniper by military snipers that sometimes people pumped up on adrenaline or drugs can take as long as 20 seconds to die AFTER being shot in the heart (!).

Lots of this comes from my experience pursuing becoming a Navy SEAL; I went to the Naval Academy for a couple years (I am not now, don‘t want to be a SEAL anymore) and I ran cross country and track in high school. I actually have run with weight vests and rucksacks before, so hopefully I add an inventory mod as well. Along the way I experienced and learned a lot about the human body, mind over matter stuff, and exercise physiology.

I’ve been thinking about creating a video game for about 10 years now, so part of the purpose of this mod is to give legs to that idea and help ensure the game actually happens. There are many, many other mods I would like to make that will help this happen.

Right now, I have some programming experience, but not a lot, so the main purpose of this thread is to put my ideas to paper so to speak, get feedback, and give others ideas.

Please let me know what you think, I will be posting more detailed information on how I plan to actually implement this idea. I welcome encouragement, criticism, feedback, programming advice, suggestions on how to model this, whatever.
