I am playing as a battle-mage, heavy armor/enchanting (no I haven't gone with smithing, since I want some challenge to remain). I've completed the quests to become arch-mage, then won the war for the empire, now it occurs to me I may actually want to get the galudar amulet for this particular hero. 100 health / 100 magika isn't anything to sneeze at compared to 30/30 reduction on a magic school. But wait, that quest disappeared from my spellbook. I've got 1 fragment of the gauldar amulet, no quest. This probably happened when I patched recently.

Is there anything I can do? Other than console cheat?
