lunar eclipse?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 7:20 am

ok, well im in falkreath, causing trouble cause i already beat the main quest, and im annoyed that no one is celebrating my greatness... so im going on a killing spree all across skyrim.

anyway, i happened to look up, and i see masser and secunda both completely black, behind a few thin clouds... is this some kinda rare lunar eclipse phase for the moons, or just a graphical glitch?

...the longer i look at them, the creepier it seems.

I looked up and only saw one moon once. I thought it was an eclipse but it wasn't blacked out, so it may have been a glitch on my game.

You should check if the lunar enchant that does fire damage or whatever when the moon is out works.

i think that is just due to masser and secunda having different lunar phases and revolving around nirn or whatever(do masser and secunda revolve around nirn, in an earthly sense?) It is more that Skyrim is so detailed then it actually being a glitch because it happens several times in my game between some days or weeks in game.

It's likely they were just in the "new moon" phase, not an eclipse.

That's so cool.

well, both moons were right next to each other... and both were completely black.

oh yeah, i think i did see the moons do this in oblivion, too... maybe its normal, then?

cant remember if they did it in morrowind, though.
