Just curious if this perk works if you're sneaking or not.

Not sure. Why don't you just save and try running over a pressure plate while standing up?

I just took this perk and have not found a bear trap or pressure plate since....

If it works at all like it did in the Fallouts, sneaking is not required.

However, your companion will still set these off, so be careful.

It works regardless of sneak status.
However, you companion will will activate them.

EDIT: Also, the plates that are required to solve a puzzle will still activate. I was worried about this...
