Followers and wives

Hi, I have been playing skyrim and I've been having a great time. I have a house in whiterun but now I want to get married.
What I'm wondering is will my wife move into my house with Lydia? I don't know if this is a silly question but the house s quite small and I have no idea how I'm going t fit everyone into this one house :S

I also have another question, I have heard that followers don't level up, so I guess I need to get a new companion every so often? I have had uthgerd the unbroken with me for about 10 levels, is that too long? Where can I find another follower who is preferably goody archery and fighting, I guess the follower cold be anything really, but I'm a light armoured 1 hand and shield nord, so wht would go best with that?

Thanks

Your wife will move in with you, unless she owns property then you may move in with her.

Companions don't level. However, I've been wandering with Lydia for some 25ish levels in one playthrough and haven't had a reason to switch yet.

I switched from lydia after getting to about level 20 with her in favour of a female mage called illia. She is now super powerful because I have gave her a load of enchanted staffs and she always uses them as well as her own frost magic. One of the staffs I gave her is also a summon storm atronach and she has summoned with that as well. I also can summon another 2 atronachs or lords. so if need be there can be 5 of us in a team taking on whatever.

But the good thing about companions is that if you change them then the other companion will still be waiting on you where you originally picked them up and they will still have any weapons or items on them if you want them back.

Be careful, dismissing and then rehiring follower will cause them to duplicate their default items (including those invisible in inventory). With more heavily outfitted followers they might run our inventory capacity quickly.

It is bug.

On PC you can use removeallitems from console on follower to overcome it. Just be sure to take all stuff you gave them before doing so because that will not be duplicated.

Careful with Ilia, if you let her go once, you can't get her back, she will only give you generic NPC responces.

I made this decision too and haven't regreted a single minute of our joint ventures. She got lost once when one of the Companions decided to go with me on a mission and I had to track her down in Windhelm. Defineatly one heck of an asset. :)

I had Lydia up to about Level 25 as well - when I finished the quest with Azura's Star - I switched to Aranea Lenith. Aranea killed the first dragon I encountered before I could. I think it just matters on your play style. Lydia was good at engaging and blocking the monster if you are playing a mage/ rage thief. I switched because I am playing a fighter with a little range spell casting and Lydia kept getting in my way when I was fighting and I kept hitting her. Aranea is loaded up with about 6 staves, Neckace and Ring of Major Health and some boots that increase recovery of Magic by like 75%. She lightning bolts from range and summons some of the most powerful Atronach's in the game - plus she has the staff of Storm Artonach to make things worse. The other reason I switched was I got tired of Lydia saying "I am sworn to carry your burden" all the time - Aranea says "What do you need to take"

I dont think I ever saw Lydia kill a dragon on her own like Aranea. Now Lydia just hangs out at my house with my wife (Camilla Valerius) Should I be worried? Why do I think its funny that the archer Riverwood visits my house and is exiting when I arrive - and says " Really. I mean Really!" - Sorry to steal your honey.
