When I first started playing Skyrim I just went right into the dungeon raiding. I spend the first 30 or so hours just finding dungeons and clearing them. Now I am doing missions and I have a bunch of broken ones because I apparently already killed the person I needed to kill..there body gets the arrow over head and I loot what I am suppose to but it won't count.

Also why would they allow a quest character to die in battle and not fail the quest?? I do not want to post a spoiler but some one died or disappeared..(I am not sure because I ran through the dungeon leaving them behind). I went to loot the item then the quest just stopped and it says I still need the item and the follower is nowhere to be found?

Basically every quest I have is broken WTF. These patches made the game worse then before! I have beaten the story and the imperial/stormcloak storyline at least but I have like 100 other quests but a bunch are broken.

Every quest is broken? I can hardly believe this and take the thread seriously. Besides that, that is sad that you clear out a cave and now can't complete a quest. Maybe you can post it in spoiler tags so Bethesda knows exactly what the problem is so they can fix it. Hard to fix when you don't know what is wrong.

Ya sorry I kind of exaggerated the broken quest count...there is still a lot of brokeni ones though..enough to make it feel like all of them lol. It just svcks because i thought i was the 1% that never had crushing bugs and broken quests...but nope...I am just an average glitchy Joe like the rest.

same here...the college main quest line broke for my mage and the body still taunts me in the college courtyard, angering me everytime i pass it

I can count on one hand the number of quests that have broken on me, and I have done an extremely high percentage of them all. Some times you just need patience, skipping all those conversations and killing people willy nilly are the two fastest ways to break a questline. Neither of which I do myself.
