Hi,

So I have been playing a thief assassin/serial killer. Been wearing light armor, using bows, dual wielding swords and recently daggers for the 15x sneak perk.

Through the course of my current game I have used smithing to improve my weapons a little, never more than 2 pts so idk why I bother lol. Anyway, I tried to enchant a bunch of stuff to fortify smithing. I enchanted a ring a necklace a shirt and found some gauntlets that fortifies smithing 22%. All 3 other articles were 8%.

Now when I go to improve items there is NO difference in the amount things improve whether Im wearing the [censored] or not. Is this a glitch? or WTF does that enchantment do?

PS. I miss enchanting in oblivion where I could enchant any item with any enchantment...

it only improves your ability to upgrade weapons and armor. even then, there are clear levels of upgrading, so if your enchants dont push you to the next "level", its pointless.
