Enchanting Enchantment?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 5:10 pm

I've found armor, that can be disenchanted, that gives bonus' to blacksmithing and alchemy, but have never come across anything for enchanting bonus, except the lousy 30 second enhance enchanting potions. Is there even any armor ingame that gives a bonus to enchanting? On the PS3 by the way.

Not AFAIK. Of course, I'm not by any means a person who knows everything about this game either.

Funny, I never use shouts. Just never think to do it, I never even use up any souls unlocking them, they just sit there greyed out.

The 30 second potions don't work well for me, I like to enchant a lot of items at one time, so only getting to do one or two before time runs out is a major pain for me. Plus I wasted real hours and hours waiting two days ingame (over and over and over again) for the vendors to reset hoping to see some enchanting armor pop up. Ugh....

Save game, kill vendor, reload save.

They will be restocked.

Uh. Sorry? I mean, WE didn't break your machine.... Actually, I know people who wouldn't play games like this on pc even though they HAVE pcs. *shrug* Again, each to her own.

I'm good with keyboard/mouse - I've played CRPGs since 1985 with keyboard/mouse, and watching friends with controllers looks just.... unbelievably awkward.... to me. It's a personal comfort thing....

I think "slow time" only works until you actually enchant an item, then it kicks you back into real time. Still kinda handy, but it's not gonna let you crank out 10 items with one potion.

However, http://209.46.18.232/wiers.us/skyalc/workbench.php?recipes_tab&show=results&5. Blue Butterfly Wing plus Snowberry is the easiest of the lot - a few vendors even sell both, iirc.

What I normally do is go in and do a "dry run" of my enchanting, to be sure I can get the effect I want on the item I want using the gem I want. Then I exit out of enchanting mode, chug a fortify potion, shout, and go in and do the actual enchanting.
Drinking multiple potions with the same effects extends the duration rather than stacking the effect, so if you feel like killing a lot of butterflys (or hagravens, or sprigans) and drinking a lot of potions you can spend quite some time doing your enchanting. Seems like a waste of good alchemy to me, but hey, if that's what it takes...

enchant item to increase enchanting. Equip item. Make another item that increases enchanting. Equip item. Repeat several dozens of times, until you make a paralyze enchanted dagger with 1 year of paralyze. This can be done using alchemy and enchanting, and makign fortify enchanting makes it onyl easier to gamebreak

There is no fortify enchant enchantment just like there is no fortify alchemy potion. It would just make a game breaking loop. Going between the crafting skills is plenty.

Don't see how it would make a game breaking loop. You can enchant items to help out smithing, so I'd wish for the same for enchanting. Too bad I hate pc gaming, there's probably a mod that fixes this.....
