Calculating Damage

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 5:04 pm

Hi,
Ok, so I'm an assassin. I got the 30x between the 15x dagger perk and the double-damage gloves.

I also have a dagger that does "critical damage" 25% of the time.

So my question is, how is the total damage computed and what would it be?

I see on my screen:

"....30x damage!"
"....critical damage..."

1. What does 'critical damage mean'? 2x? +50%, what?
2. Is it applied after the 30x or before?

I should add to my needed features list.

11. Better Indicators of Weapon Damage Dealt
This allows me (the person) to weight the effectiveness of different items.

thanks for any tips!

I really hope that beths intention with the gloves was to make it a grand total of 16x but someone forgot to add parentheses in the math. 30x is just stupid. Tbh I don't know the answer. It's not made clear. But with 30x you could use an iron dagger for all it matters lol

hehe. Yeah, but its not easy to acquire these things. You have to devote yourself to it. Also, I sacrifice armor and other things for the ability to one-shot if successfully sneaking. I'm sure with melee characters you can generate 3-500 damage with the right weapon and perks as well. I just wish Skyrim would SHOW you the damage you do.

If your on pc you can turn off aggression, give a guard 10000000 hp, attack and then check how much hp he has left. The numberical values are in there somewhere I've seen people post them.

I believe a critical hit will do half the BASE damage, which is barely anything ha. Sneak attack criticals multiply the full damage.

So then, does a normal critical become a sneak critical while you are sneaking? The critical enhancement is on the weapon. Since my dagger does 9 damage with the 30x, if a critical only does + 5 points, then that is hysterical....

You said if sneaking it will multiply full damage. How much? 2x, 3x? does anyone know?
