which npc trainers can you ice shout mug, and which can't yo

so pretty much everyone knows of the exploit where you train with someone, ice shout them, freezing them, and then pickpocketing them as they get up after they thaw and they don't catch you, 100% success rate, it's almost the only way to pickpocket the large amount (like 20k). well this apparently doesn't work on all NPC's, because when i do it to the archery trainer in the thieves guild, no one notices but when i do it to the 1h trainer the orc in that camp, everyone attacks me...so which can you do it to and which can't you?

I'm pretty sure that you have to be allied with the would-be exploited NPC. Just be sure they greet you with terminology such as, "You've been a good friend to me," or something along those lines.

Please do not post Spoilers in General.

People come to General to learn about the game without learning about what happens in the game. If they want to know about what happens, that is what the Cheats, Hints and Spoilers section is for.

Do not use quest details or location specific details related to quests/puzzles/NPCs in your posts in this section. General is for discussing gameplay and mechanics. General topics about the the game include but are not limited to races, items and their use, magic, enchanting, skills, character builds, criticism, praise, funny random things that happen, places from an esthetic standpoint and and other general topics.

Use the Spoilers Section if you have to post quest details or other spoilers or a thread about the same. This also includes console commands, and character build exploits.

I will move this now.

It's an exploit therefore falls victim under the category of "cheat."

I don't really see how this ha anything to do with spoilers, just a small exploit...

I see people talk about exploits in the general section all the time. But it's not a big deal I gues.

Seriously, if you're going to exploit NPC behaviour like that, you may as well just open the console and give yourself skillups.
