any one one know where to find some stong and/or unique wepons? Daedric artifacts and quest/gitft weapons are not much help has it is an rp thing

I can think of the mace of bolag bal by talking to a guy in the uderstone keep in malkarth and the ebony blade in a quest involving whiterun jarl's child

The coolest and most unique is imo Dawnbreaker. It also has a good quest for it, start it by finding Meridia's shrine south west of Solitude. Also its not an evil item or quest if that matters for RP.

The Dawnbreaker is pretty good especially if you don't want to play an outright evil character, not to mention awesome against Draugr and undead. The Dragonbane(?) is also good(but it's leveled) I think but you need to progress the MQ so you might wanna leave it for later. The Nightingale blade is also pretty cool if you have no worries about being a thief.

Yes but dawnbreaker has a cool glowing hilt with pretty effects! And it shines brighter in the presence of undead. Not to mentioned randomly exploding undead equals awesome

Apart from the Daedric artifacts, which themselves are rather lackluster, there really arent many unique items in Skyrim.
You could try the Ghostblade.

The strongest sword in the game is a levelled item (meaning that if you stumbled upon it while you were leve 45 or lower it won't be as good) : Chillrend. It's found during the thieves guild quest. It's an enchanted sword whose base damage is equivalent to a daedric axe.

Speaking of the thieves guild, you get the nightingale blade (unique appearance, glass level stats) and the the nightingale bow which is levelled too: if you get it pas level 46 it's the strongest bow in the game and has a unique appearance.

The best shortblade is Astrid's Blade of Woe: you get it if you join the Dark Brotherhood or if you kill her instead of joining.

There's a orc hammer in the game which is said to be lightweight and swings as fast as a 1h mace. High DPS but no unique appearance. I don't remember where I got it.

Someone mentioned the ghostblade, a unique ancient nord weapon with an unique enchantment: it deals damage ignoring armor: it can even be improved at the forge using... ectoplasm essence!

Another 'unique' short blade is the blade of sacrifice found only at Boethia shrine on cultists: its an ebony dagger with an unique texture.

I have heard that the Mace of Malog Bal becomes stronger if you kill friends with it. I haven't tried it, it is not in my character to do so, but for those who are into killing their friends, I guess its worth a try.... That was my favorite for a while.

Chillrend is just a glass sword with a game breaking enchantment. Not very unique imo

The hammer you mentioned is the Longhammer. Forget how you get it as well.

You have to go real deep in the TG line to get Karliah's bow and the sword. Seems odd the TG has so much unique gear associated with it. Three sets of armor and three weapons.

Another unique weapon is Wuuthrad, you get it bear the end of the companions line. It's a battleaxe

Wrong deadric artifact. I'm spacing out on the name but the one with the HP drain enchantment that strengthens by killing friends is a sword.

The Oathblade is unique and non-daedric. That's the only one I can think of.

The strongest weapon in game is my triple legendary Daedric Blade with both Fire and Para enchantments lol

It has a unique texture attached to it. It's damage is the highest of any 1H sword as long as you get it at high levels.

Skyforge weapons. They aren't that spectacular when you pick them up but they can be smithed to many times their base damage.

I believe the name you are searching for is the Ebony Blade.

It is in some ways unfortunate, but high smithing and enchantment skills will get you a weapon far better than anything you can find. But the "look" of it will be somewhat standard. AND unlike Oblivion you can't put an interesting combination of enchantments on it, only 2 and then only when you get to 100 enchantment.

I miss Oblivion enchantment.

If you want to be impressed by the better found weapons in the game, don't smith and enchant.

The Oathblade is very cool. Chillrend, not so much. Yes, it's a strong and unique blade, but it's ugly - and as previously noted, it's a game-breaker. The Ebony Blade IS a daedric artifact - Mephala's (which a good toon will rationalize by saying in effect, "I'm keeping this poor child from worse" - and then hanging it up rather than "improving" it....)

Truth though? I'd rather craft and enchant my own thanks. I just really don't like any of the "special" weapons/armor in the game.
