Question about Dawnbreaker?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 3:30 pm

I've been taking my time with the Daedric quests and just finished The break of dawn and recived my prize. I knew that the sword would glow around the undead and the effect it has on them but I didn't know that it would glow for about 2 hours after sunrise and that it would glow if anything evil was close by. I have tested this by visiting all the spots that I know baddies like to hang out, and I have waited till 5:30am for the sun to rise and watched to see how long Dawnbreaker would glow for after the sun rose and it's around 2 hours.
My question is; has anyone else noticed this? and if it's a glitch if no one has? Not that I'm complaining, it looks pretty cool running at some vile creature while my "holy sword" is glowing like Sting out of Lord of the rings.( I'm a big Tolkien fan).

I am going to have to check this out. I had't noticed, mostly because it was already glowing when I had it drawn (invariably in a ruin infested with draugr).

It's quite cool, it will look normal one min. then it starts to glow very bright(like a light saber) when ever anything evil is close by, be it bandit or falmer or draugr. And once I vanquish the vile creature it gradually looses it's luster and returns to it's normal form.

Click the third icon on the top in the editing box when you reply, the one that says "special bbcode" when you hover your pointer over it, aaand select spoiler  or you can type in (spoiler)text here(/spoiler) only with [] instead of ().

I've been using it in druagr dungeons, and I have to admit that while I've noticed how bright it was, I hadn't made the correlation. I do like the big blue fear bomb effect, though! Deathlords and Scourges running amok, lol. I just wish the luminous pommel actually worked as a kind of light. Now that would be handy!
