I love skyrim, one of my favorite games but I'm a little dissapointed with the variety of the unique weapons, i've beat all the main storylines, so i like to look up all the unique weapons and set out and get them.
problem is i have alot of unique weapons and many all look the same! i have about 4 or 5 unique weapons that are just ancient nord sword, with a name and different effects(the pale blade, red eagles sword etc.)

so can somebody name a few unique weapons that don't look like any other weapons in the game as in not a glass sword with a different name?

some i have are things like ghost blade, dawnbreaker, ebony blade, nightingale sword, volundung, pretty much all the daedric artifact weapons.

also are there any unique daedric weapons? thanks for all the help

The ancient nord sword "uniques" piss me off too. Lets make a whole questline or dungeon for this legendary blade... oh btw it looks like every other sword... Come on now.

that is exactly what im talking about, i read a book on red eagle and thought wow what a great sword better go get that, same with the pale lady to get the pale blade, they are identical and it's lame.

Most have unique Effects, Nettlebane is pretty cool looking.

Effects? enchanters can make their own effects, the look is what sells the blade. Nettlebane? ever seen an ebony dagger- cuz thats what nettlebane is.

There are very few weapons with unique appearances. Probably under 15 or so I think.

This was one thing about Skyrim that bugged the hell out of me. Okay, I'll deal with the flying mammoths and the crappy level scaling...

...but COME ON! I want to collect weapons and NOT have ten weapon racks full of identical swords that all glow a different color! *puff-puff-puff* Really now...this is one of the reasons why I keep breaking down and download weapon mods. Sheesh. Spice it up a little, Bethesda!

The Nightingale blades are some of the cooler looking ones, simple and sleek. If you play on PC there is a mod that will allow you to craft them. Mehrune's Razor, Dawnbreaker, and Wuuthrad are cool also. Especially partial to Dawnbreaker myself...

Keening is a very cool-looking dagger.

Okan and Eduj at least based off of Nord Hero Weapons, and they are a matched set, but obtaining them both at the same was a lucky glitch when I first did the Silenced Tongues quest.
I last did the quest on November 18th, and the loss of one may have been fixed since then.

The Blood Drain kit looks very different. Almost aetherial.

If you enchant an ebony weapon with shock, you get a glow under UV light purple effect.

The most unique weapon I have is the Ghost Blade it's clear blue transparent and ignores armor.I mentioned it because I didn't see it on the list he posted

It's still just an ancient nord sword.

I found "Dragon Priest Dagger" that uses the same texture.

Don't forget the "Blade of Sacrifice" dagger. I think I got it from the Boathiah quest.

Is pickpocking the only way to get the headsman axe?

I had the same idea. I read it had burning properties (which would've suited my char), and thought it'd be pretty strong. What a disappointment when I finally got it! My own blade was even stronger than this one with the burning damage included. Well, the quest was pretty good, especially with the lore around it, so it wasn't such a big loss. I left the blade there so other forsworn could visit his grave and pay their respects, heh.

Yes, don't remove it and don't ever touch the book again or you'll enter an infinite quest loop.

The most unique looking weapon is the sword Dawnbreaker. That is my favourite sword in the game.

Yes I was a bit disapointed when I got Red Eagles Sword and it was a aincient nord sword.
More dispointed when The Pale Blade looked like any other aincient sword.

The Forsworn Swords are cool. I use them a lot...

I wish the 'Thane badge' weapons were each unique too.

Yeah, I keep forgetting how cool the Wabbajack looks with the 3 faces ( , , and ).


I would if I could improve them. My female character wears Legendary Forsworn Armor (yeah, I'm a pig), but I can't improve their swords...plus, she uses daggers, but I would probably compromise if I could improve the swords.

One unique 2handed sword and it turns out to be a prank, better suited for 1handed players. Not to mention you have to hurt your followers for it (not that I have a problem with these quests being in a game, but it svcks if that's all there is).

Some cool 2handed axes and hammers though. But not everyone envisions their character as a crusty Nord lumberjack.
