I need a sacrifice.

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 11:44 am

Trying to do the quests for the Deadric god/goddess B____something. I can't remember the name.

Anyway, I have to lead a follower to the shrine and kill him.

I don't want to waste any good followers I might need later for this, and I won't use a dog! If that even works.

In any case, where can I find a fairly worthless follower that I can lead there?

Generic DB followers you get when you complete the guild quests.

I picked one of the three from the college (the one I never travelled with)... so someone from a past questline that you are finished with that was never that important to begin with. An odd Companions person is a good choice. The drunk or the elf.

His (or in this game her) name is Boethiah. Theres some sellswords available. A female Dunmer at the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun, Marcurio (sp?) at the Bee and Barb in Riften (some people like him). Theres also a drunk in Markarth you can brawl with, Cosnach, if you beat him he becomes a follower.

Any of the cardboard cutout housecarls will do. I used the one from Riften who was so shallow as an npc I cant remember her name.

The riften Mage merc has expensive robes and is snobby. Sacrifice him, take his robes from his body, and prepare to take them again.

What about one of the two followers you get from riverwood? They are fairly worthless aren't they?

I kinda liked the followers you get or earn and left them in their respective places. Hire a mercenary. That's what I did.

Faendal/Sven, both of them are useless at high levels, Sven especially as he only levels to level 20. The lesser companions (ria, athis, torvar and the other one) only level to 25 ish, so they are rather useless too.

I sacrificed Lydia which was oh so satisfying but Sven would be an excellent choice.

J'Zargo for me. He talks in 3rd person, which means he must follow me across the eastern seaboard to be my unknowing sacrifice. "J'Zargo does not want to touch the altar. J'Zargo thinks this will not go well for him if J'Zargo doesn't start talking right."

If you are planning on doing all the daedric quests you could use the cannibal-priestess Eola from the Namira one. She becomes a companion after that.
Just do it for some poetic justice, since she sacrificed a priest to her god, go sacrifice her to another.

Another one you could use is the Dark Elf mercenary in the inn near the Whiterun gate. She is an evil, bloodthirsty assassin, and Boethiah is a dark-elf god so it would also be a fitting end.

She may be bloodthirsty but she is a badass and the only companion i can think of that sneeks great and dual wields. Also isn't annoying like nany others

Good idea about killing a cannibal. No regrets.

There's a little town not far away called Kynesgrove. In it is a man named Roggi, do a short quest for him and find his lost shield, and he'll follow you for life- no matter how short you make it.

He's just another meat shield, easily replaced.

Sven and Roggi Knot-Beard (Kinesgrove) both don't level beyond 20, so they're fairly useless as followers later on. The one's you brawl (Benor in Morthal, Cosnach in Markarth and Uthgerd from Whiterun) only level to 30. So does Golldir. They're pretty useful up to that point, but after that Housecarls (50), Companion leaders (50) and for hire mercenaries (40) are better.

Noooooooo! Faendal is very important to Riverwood! He's about the only one who's able to provide the inhabitants with fresh meat!

Seriously 'though (well, I was serious about Faendal, I read/heard it somewhere in the game), he and Sven are pretty much useless to you, yes. Plus, if you should marry Camilla, they'll still regularly bother her in YOUR house. They really got no shame

Pick Njarda Stonearm if you are Harbinger or in the Companions.
She is obnoxious and not respectful enough to her Harbinger.
That's what I did.

Feandal is good as a follower. He does'nt straight into your attacks, unlike others. I would never sacrifice him.
I would have no problem sacrificing Sven though.

But you don't have to sacrifice anyone.
You can just kill the cultists and Bothieh possesses the last one who died.

That's what I had to do, even after sacrificing Njarda. She would'nt talk to me when she possessed her.
So if that happens to you, just kill everyone.

I considered sacrificing Agris The Bulwark. He is'nt bulwarky, he yields and he is weak.

But sacrificing housecarls seems wrong. Who would look after your house and stuff when they are dead, lol.
