I recently reached level 100 alchemy, and got the 5/5 perk for alchemy. But, now that I go to create potions, the max % for the potion strength is 4%! For example, when creating a potion of fortify restoration it says that the restoration spells are only 4% strong for 60 seconds. I did NOT have this problem before and I am even wearing alchemy enchanted gear. Someone please help me out! I would like to refrain from reverting to my last save game, as I have done a lot since this happened. Happy holidays to all and thanks in advanced.

Make sure the problem persists... save and reload. Gain a new level. Sometimes these glitches are short term.

Thanks... I just saved and reloaded; didn't seem to work. I am level 48 now and pretty far from leveling again... any other suggestions? I even saved, quit, turned off xbox, started skyrim back up again and that didn't even work.

I think the best way to check this would be for someone on PC to give himself 100 Alchemy and the same perks via console and see if it bugs for him. If it does, then there is a bug worthy of a patch and if it doesn't, it was likely an isolated incident and you are just SoL.

Ok, I tried ALL of these things but none of them work. I even leveled again and added the second perk. Has anyone experienced this and should I contact the gm's? I realize that there will be bugs in Skyrim, as it is a massive game, but this is really ****ing annoying

Not sure if it will help, but try removing the alchemy enhancing gear.

I did... I removed it... equipped it... even re-enchanted different gear. Still nothing. I am not even sure how this happened but I feel as though this could be a vital bug in the game that not many people have had the displeasure of encountering.

Try wearing gear with no enchants and making another type of potion, like invisibilty. They might've fixed fortify restoration due to some major exploits.
