[WIP] ORCS!

A reporter for the Black Horse Courier was in attendance while Chief Mo'gro-Dushnik addressed Orc chieftains and warriors from across Tamriel at his longhouse, Malak's Rest....

"Brothers and sisters, Chieftains and warriors, forge-wives and huntsman, I welcome you to Malak's Rest. While we revel in our traditions and celebrate our kinship the world outside these walls is in upheaval! Kings fall and dragons rise, brothers kill brothers for the sake of political gain, blood flows freely in the streets of Markath and rebellious uprisings overtake our lands. Imperials, Nords and reach-men wage war as their destruction engulfs our very lives. And they call us savages!

Sons and daughters of Malacath, how many of our own have died while the outlanders squabble. How long must we stand by and watch as our best warriors fight a war that is not theirs!? And for what? The acceptance of the empire? They encroach upon our way of life and expect us to adhere to their standards? Brothers and sisters I say no more! Strongholds across Skyrim are in dire need of food and protection, our hunting grounds become battlefields for Stormcloaks and Imperials and our power dwindles beneath the boots of jarls and generals. They call us 'pig-children' and 'goblin-kin', we are simple minded savages in their eyes, and yet it is they who rob us of our homeland and our very way of life! Children of Orsinium I call you here to state, with anger in my heart and fire in soul, WE ARE AT WAR! I ask you to take up arms, unite, and establish ourselves as a soveriegn nation, refute your so called duty to serve in Imperial armies or forge weapons for men who do not look upon you with the same favor that your brothers do. Return to your strongholds, work the mines and the fields, hunt game and only draw arms when it is for the good of our people. It is not war we seek, but if it is brought to our doorstep we shall answer!"

ORCS!

Orcs is currently a work in progress that I am undertaking during my summer break. Below you will find any relavent information pertaining to the mod.

Goals: The goal of this mod is to make the orc strongholds and orc race have a unique impact on the world of Skyrim. This involves the following....

1 new "main" quest-chain pertaining to the efforts of unification and growth of Orc interests in Skyrim
1 new faction The Order of Malaks Rest (name subject to change)
Rebuilt orcish strongholds
New sidequests to bring added gameplay to orc stronholds
New NPCs including, Orc raiding parties, Orc hunters, Orc armies
New items, weapons and locations

Essentially the unified strongholds will hope to have more of an impact on portions of the vanilla game, for instance.

Civil War: Orcs may attempt to attack those involved with Imperial or Stormcloak factions.
Forsworn: Orc raids against forsworn located near their strongholds.
Main quest: Orc armies attempting to kill dragons.

Storyline and Gameplay:
While pieces of this mod will involve a main storyline revolving around the unification and advancement of Orc stronholds and Orc culture, I do not want this mod to be the Civil War questline with Orcs. Individual strongholds will have their own side-quests that should offer unique and intriguing storylines and characters. I want strongholds to feel more like towns, as opposed to civilized camps. This means that their will be more orcs, some will fight, while some will just go about their lives, working mines, hunting, trading, etc.

What I need from you:
What you would like to see from a mod like this.
Ideas for modders resources to help this mod progress quicker.

If you like what you have read so far I ask that you please keep this in mind. I will provide picture updates of my progress but with the current scope of this mod I cannot realistic expect to upload anything until at least mid-July. Thank you!

Looks neat. Can't wait to see more. One idea I have that I think could be great for atmosphere would be Orc children (assuming that it could be done well). I was a bit dissapointed that only children of the human races were presented in Skyrim. Although that may have been a blessing considering how annoying the child npcs that are already in the game.
