In my firts game i've killed 32 dragon befor even getting the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller but now i've started a new game, im at level 28 and i only killed the dragon of the whiterun quest... Does anyone know how to fix this ? thx

Dragons only spawn when you're outside of a city cell, moving around. If you're using fast travel to get around a lot, you may not find any.

You might also get more if you do the next part of the main quest...go talk to the greybeards.

The CK is probably not the best place to ask this anyway...

They actually rarely spawn INSIDE cities, confirmed.
I had 2 level 50 characters and had never seen it, on my 3rd I got 3 spawns inside cities. One in riften and 2 in Whiterun.

On my first game, they spwan every where even in the city and sometime by 2 ... but now even if i walk in the field for 2 days they dont show up ... could it be the last update !?

I have played for 200 hours and only found 5 or so 'random' dragons. And that was from the original released version, and all the patches since.
I had so many shouts I could not activate that I finally consoled some dragons to fight...

Once you talk to the greybeards, they can send you after words of power...if it's one outdoors, it is almost always guarded by a dragon.

You get more dragons randomly spawning as the main quest progresses. I have almost completed the main quest, am level 47 and have about 100 hours of playtime on that char. I have 14 unused dragon souls because they show up so frequently. Over 40 killed dragons, and one of them was inside a city.

Their is a bug that may prevent random dragon's from spawning. When this happened to me I went on in th MQ til the quest with Delphine. after that I started getting random dragon's.

did you find anyway to fix that bug aside the main quest cuz i already did the quest that you go kill the dragon with Delphine. There is a huge difference between my 2 game concernint the dragons presence, in my first game ive killed more then 10 dragon in whiterhold solitude falkreath and even more when i was wondering around the wilderness (i had 32 soul plus all the soul used for shout) and a couple of time they came and just fly over me for a couple of sec and kept going on without attacking. But in this game, i only found then around word of power wall outside. This change the game mood alot, and i hop that there is a way to fix this.

Yeah, that pissed me off. I don't mind fighting a dragon, but I hated when it spawned in a town where it could kill a named character that I could need later (like a trainer or something). The five major cities, which used to be my safe haven from dragons, until I found one in whiterun and he killed one of hte women there

No sorry, the quest with Delphine fixed it for me. I looked on UESP wiki and I didn't find a fix, just a reference to the fact that it may happen. You may also want to look again.

I was with Esbern and Delphine on our way to Karthspire and we saw a dragoni circling near .... crap, the village in the middle of nowhere Erik the Slayer is from.... we got closer and the dragon took off.. it was Alduin (I presume) rebirthing a new dragon with a pillar of light coming up out of the ground.

Went to it, walked around, it.... it was odd.

But back to the thread. I have noticed as well that your progression in the MQ is directly connected to the number of dragons you encounter. Stay away from Delphine and the Greybeards and get less dragons.
