I want to make a holy knight character...

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 1:12 pm

Seems easy enough. Make him a breton or imperial or something, use heavy armor, one-handed swords and maces, shields, restoration and RP serving good Daedra like Meridia through common goodwill, but mostly serving the divines.

I did something like this in Oblivion, using normal Steel, then the KotN armor after that came out. What armor could apply to a knight in Skyrim? There are none I can think of, it's all rugged and nordic. Ebony sort of works, but not only is it really late-game armor, but it's black, going against what I'm going for mostly (generic white knight=good guy ftw)

Anybody think of a way around this to make the character work?

Yeah, that was my first thought, but it's much too... not sure... barbaric?

It's like a Viking knight. Close, but not quite right. I might have to settle on it, though.

I assume you don't have access to mods?

I don't see a Knight with maces. Sword and Dagger. That's all.

Steel Plate armour. Looks like Silver Armour of a Knight.

Ebony armour will make a Dark Knight.

I like the steel plate. Too bad there is no matching shield. Ebony looks great ... but it is black.

I would think a Mace would make a good weapon, kinda like the old Clerics from D&D.

Restoration is very hard to use. If you are decked out in Heavy Armor and shield you would hardly need to heal during a fight. After a fight the auto-heal would fix you up in a minute anyway. My first character was a warrior with Restoration for Role-play reasons, but I found that I never used it.

For a shield, I would use the Imperial heavy shield. It has the right look. I know there is one on Ft. Snowhawk.

Leveling up Restoration can be hard. It is one of the main things I train up. I think it makes Collete happy and feel useful.
