The Fresh Roleplay Challenge (DiD Edition)

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 8:42 am

I've decided to throw down a little self-challenge and thought I'd share it.
Usually in TES games I would play through all the content with a single character, and rarely deviate. Soon though I shall generate a few character-specific details and go for a pure roleplay run, using Dead is Dead rules. So it probably won't last long!

The fun part being, I intend to create my character off the top of my head- and want to input a few ideas from other people, for the true random factor.
:foodndrink:

Before filling in stuff for myself I thought I might leave them open for any primary suggestions, if anyone has some silly or interesting ideas, to help flesh out a new character. Sadly Death will be Death, but I might just make a diary of the experience!
Alright then so let's do this:

Spoiler

GENDER:

FIRST FAVOURITE SKILL:
SECOND FAVOURITE SKILL:
ATTITUDE:
FAVOURITE FOOD:
HISTORY:

Set a minimum difficulty of Expert. DiD becomes pointless in lower difficulties.

I'd give this a go if I hadn't just started a new character who I'm thoroughly enjoying. :P

Dont forget regular potty breaks, also after each potty break you must discard one roll of paper lest you walk around with a grotty botty, if you do not have a spare roll of paper then any notes that you may have picked up along the way are an acceptable substitute.

is that so? I was worried that Expert might make it too difficult to run a DiD game.
Might depend on if it turns out a combat character or not :) But I'll add that to the rules!

Pitch me ideas people, I'll pick and mix for the sake of Lol's.

I think that DiD is pointless without the threat of death being serious and real - DiD on Novice would be ridiculous, for example. :) On Expert, death is realistic, and on Master, it's extremely regular. :P but that, for me, is what makes DiD good. Of course, the difficulty that people struggle with will vary depending on the player, as there are some people on the forum that struggle on Adept, or even Apprentice. But I'd be surprised if those players wanted to play a DiD game.

Well then I've added that in for a rule, and much as I'd love to start writing up backstory I have some last minute christmas business.
svcks that I have to wait three days before I can play Skyrim again... but the day I miss Christmas for a video game is the day I know I'm an addict :P

I fully endorse this! Dual wield pickaxes is always fun.

Check out my stream for examples of crazy builds. My viewers make me do weird things. One time I had to be a necrophiliac neceomancer who also was a transvestite. Lol!!! I stream nightly dead is dead master difficulty.
